Working Ownership

Is the Working Owner Program right for me?

You probably already know that as an owner you get a 10% discount during the quarterly Sale Week events, but did you know that you could have 10% off every day of the year as a working-owner by volunteering some time each month? The discount isn’t the only benefit, though. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you’re a vital part of your Co-op community. This is your store.

Not an owner? What’re you waiting for? It’s easy to become one, and there are a lot of awesome perks. Go here for more information.

What kind of work will I be doing?

The most common tasks for working-owners are:

  • Assisting at Co-op events

  • Cleaning the café

  • Cutting and laminating signs and tags

  • Hosting product tastings

How much do I have to work?

Single adult households – 2 hours per month

Two or more adult households – 4 hours per month

(Split your shifts into four 1 hour shifts or share with other adults in your household)

When will I get my discount?

The hours you work are going towards the following month’s discount. Your discount will begin on the 1st of the month after you’ve completed your required hours.

I have a special skill/talent. Can I volunteer it?

Working-owners can earn their hours by doing special as needed tasks, such as hosting classes, writing for our newsletter, helping with the gardening, or providing other services. If interested, please reach out to our Ownership Coordinator

How do I sign up?

It’s easy! Ask a cashier for an application or fill one out below.

Please note, all new working-owners will need to attend a training class.
