Are you passionate about produce? Take the lead as our new Produce Dept Manager. Work with local farmers and distributors to fill the Co-op’s produce department with the highest quality local and organic produce working with local and regional producers and distributors. The Produce Manager is a vital link to the Co-op for our customers as well as our local farmers. The Produce Manager is directly responsible for all aspects of the Produce Department including financial performance, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising Produce Dept staff. We’re looking for a Produce Assistant to take weekend and evening shifts. Part-time hours available with the possibility of full-time in the future. Produce Assistants are responsible for quality control, maintaining a clean and beautiful display area, and stocking and rotating displays to ensure the freshest possible produce for our owners and customers. We provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment and keep a clean and organized backstock area. We receive many deliveries from our local farmers as well as larger distributors every day of the week, lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the day. We pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of local, regional, and global produce, so an enthusiasm for fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and seeds is key! Gardeners and home cooks enjoy this work.

Seeking an energetic, enthusiastic person for a bulk & cheese assistant. This position is for afternoon and evening shifts, 20 hours per week, seasonal part-time, but could become part-time year-round for the right candidate. This position is responsible for excellent customer service, packaging products and stocking bulk & cheese throughout each shift.  Qualified candidates must be able to work independently, possess good communication skills, work a flexible schedule, and have great teamwork skills. 

Seeking a friendly person for a cashier position, afternoon and evening shifts, 30 hrs per week, year round. This position is responsible for delivering outstanding service to our customers, learning our products and services and consistently being efficient and accurate. Qualified candidates must have cash-handling experience, possess outstanding customer service and communication skills, have the ability to work a flexible schedule, and have great team-working skills. Seeking a full-time baker to join our baking team. Must have baking experience and be familiar with kitchen equipment. Training will be provided by our current baking staff before working solo. Hours are 8pm – 4am, five days a week.

Looking for a full time breakfast and lunch cook to work alongside our current staff.  An autonomous position that requires cooking and prepping food to order as well as cleanup at the end of the day. Cleanliness and efficiency are a must. Hours are 12pm – 8pm, Monday – Friday. Training to be provided by our current line cook team to prepare for busy summer service. Our kitchen is air conditioned!

Hours are Saturday – Monday. Additional full time work may be available during the week as we get closer to the summer. The Co-op Cafe is seeking staff for our front counter. Duties include making sandwiches, taking orders, running the register, cleaning, and customer service. This is an entry level position, kitchen experience not necessary but cleanliness and efficiency are a must.  Early morning (6:00am – 2:00pm ) and afternoon (12:00pm – 8:00pm) shifts available.

Co-ops or cooperatives are member-owned, member-governed businesses that operate for the benefit of their owners (members) according to common principles established by the international cooperative community. Co-op owners pool resources together to bring about economic results for the benefit of the entire co-op community. Employees can become owners and enjoy all the benefits.
