  • 1/2 cup dark or semisweet chocolate chips OR Lily's no-sugar-added chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/3 cup sugar OR monk fruit sweetener

  • 3 eggs

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • optional toppings
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnut

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chip

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Line an 8x8" baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt chocolate chips and butter in the microwave or over a double boiler on the stovetop. Stir until smooth.
  • Combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla on high until frothy and light (about 3 minutes). Add the chocolate to the eggs and beat until thoroughly combined.
  • Add the dry ingredients in three batches, beating on low between each addition.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared dish. Optionally, top with chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is cooked and puffed up. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into 9 or 16 pieces (depending on preference). Serve and enjoy!
