Chinese Omelette

Are you looking for a delicious, savory, vegetarian dish to serve for lunch or dinner with some friends? Look no further! This omelette is ideal for sharing and comes together really fast!

On the Ingredients:

The Chinese Omelette itself has a very clean flavor, made with a combination of egg and fresh veggies. To accompany this, the omelette is drizzled with oyster sauce, an Asian sauce made from cooking down oysters. It is commonly used in savory dishes from China and Southeast Asia. If you’re allergic to shellfish or are a vegetarian who doesn’t do fish, you can replace the oyster sauce with a vegetarian teriyaki sauce.

Mung bean sprouts are large, crisp, and very satisfying to balance the sweet sauce and rich egg. You can easily sprout mung beans at home for a regular supply (they’re delicious in many other recipes too. But, if you haven’t sprouted them and they aren’t in stock, you can use sunflower shoots to much the same effect.
