The Co-op hosts films shown in the Blue Hill Library Howard Room. These films are free and open to the public followed by a discussion of the film. Films to be shown are placed in our weekly ad in the Weekly Packet and in the coming events section of all three Penobscot Bay Press papers. Check our Events page to find out what's coming up!
The Co-op hosts local vendors for tastings and educational talks. It can give you a chance to meet your local farmers and producers and learn more about the products.
Co-Sponsored Community Events
The Co-op is proud to work with state and local businesses and non-profit organizations to provide our community with free and low cost activities throughout the year. Including; Farm Tours, Cider Pressings, Outdoor Gatherings, Children's Activities and Holiday Festivities.
The Co-op invites guest speakers to share their knowledge in free public forums on a variety of topic that can include: healthy food preparation, home-gardening, energy efficiency/conservation, and homeopathic/natural medicinal therapies.
In-Store Educational Brochures
We offer free 3rd party researched informational brochures about food, co-ops, allergies, etc. We also offer an in house produced brochure about the bulk grains we offer.
Every week we bring certified organic produce and packaged grocery products to The Tree of Life food pantry on South Street in Blue Hill.
