Banana Nice Cream (2 ingredient)


If you love ice cream but can’t have dairy or sugar, summertime can be a somber season. Luckily, there’s a quick and simple recipe for making ice cream out of only frozen bananas and almond milk (or whatever your dairy alternative preference). It’s also very easy to make into different flavors, as just about anything can be added. Our favorite combos are chocolate peanut butter nice cream and chocolate chip walnut nice cream.


3 bananas

1/4 cup almond milk (or favorite dairy alternative)


Food processor

First, cut your banana into 1-2 inch slices and put them in a freezable container. Let them freeze overnight. The next day, place your banana slices in the food processor and break them into smaller chunks. Add the almond milk and continue to process until the nice cream is the consistency of soft serve ice cream. At this point, you can add any other flavors such as vanilla extract, cocoa powder, walnuts, fresh fruits, peanut butter, or anything else. Scoop the mixture into a Tupperware or casserole dish and put it into the freezer, covered with wax paper. Let it freeze for 1-2 hours. Serve in scoops just as you would ice cream.
